♥ Began updating the where to buy section to add in new American brands and remove bad sellers.
♥ It was brought up that this journal is out of date, anything you would like to see changed/added?
♥ I'm sorry I can't take all the requests to update the media section, there's just too many things I could add. If someone would like to make a more comprehensive list let me know and I'll credit you of course.

A Quick Disclaimer  
This journal (which may someday end up as a website) is essentially an extension of the [info]egl memories and FAQ and hopefully a useful complement to everything provided by Avant Gauche-which has as all the information you'd ever need on where to find lolita stuff but doesn't explain what makes something lolita. This isn't to set down the rules of lolita or anything, it's just to define what is typically labeled lolita (like what makes a blouse lolita/how do you make something punk lolita?). Basically this is an attempt to organize everything I learned and all the links I've favorited throughout my online lolita experience to try and make a guide for beginners and a resource page for those more experienced with lolita.

Also, I know I'm generally very supportive of pushing the limits of lolita, but this is really meant to give people a very clear idea of what lolita fashion is and I didn't want to encourage a lot of weird stuff that could easily go wrong. Because I'm currently the only one writing this, there's bound to be a pretty hefty bias so think of this more as an editorial than an encyclopedia. If you don't share my thoughts on everything that's to be expected, but if you think something is outright wrong or you feel that there are enough notable exceptions, please email me and I'll probably fix it or add a note. All contributions to this are welcome - the more people help out the more accurate this can become ^_^
